Hi everyone,
I know many of you have been trying to get a hold of me, and I apologize for not being readily available. It’s been a hectic few months for us. I would rather speak with all of you personally, but it would take quite a bit of time for me to get back to everyone as I’m still trying to catch up on all my e-mails and voicemails. This mass communication will be a more effective method of updating you all with our situation.
Firstly, I must apologize for the delay in work being completed and shipments going out to our clients.
We’ve been pretty backed up because we’ve been going through and adapting to many changes, including website design (still not complete, but thank you for all the hard work, Ziggy), among other things, like economic issues, which has dramatically affected our business. We have built solid relationships with our suppliers from the past and are constantly seeking to acquire new ventures so that we can keep our costs low, enabling us to pass the savings on to our clients and brokers. Also, I’ve been heading many workshops for training and education and have been attending trade shows, both locally and out-of-town the past few weeks.
Currently, we are dealing with a fatal data storage issue. Two of our 1TB drives crashed simutaneously, one which is storing our current projects. Normally I would just have new drives installed and continue with business as usual but, because one of the drives has some of our work in-progress files, this time I had no choice but to send it out for data recovery. It’s a bit costly, but there was hundreds of hours of hard work that we just can’t afford to lose. Too much time has gone by for us to start those projects from scratch. The data recovery company has to first investigate the severity of the damage, which will take up to 2 weeks to complete the assessment. Nothing is guaranteed (except my payments to them), but if any of the data is recoverable, I should get the data transferred to a new drive and returned to me within 4-6 weeks.
I would like to thank everyone involved including our clients, staff and partners for the patience you’re all keeping throughout this whole ordeal. It is very much appreciated. Please remain confident and be assured that we will be working diligently to get all projects completed and shipped out.
Once again, thank you. The next couple of months will be pretty rough, but we’ll get through it.
Sincerely,
Rommel Miraflores, Creative Director
